However, I regularly place orders with them so if you live in Sweden and are interested in a copy,

How does this game differ from the rest of the Nova Suecia games?
In spite of the civilization theme, Explorers & Exploiters is mostly an abstract game
about connecting and disconnecting parts on a board.
However, the mechanism where all units - explorers and barbarians - are shared among the players
reminds of the balance between cooperation and competition known from other games and there is also
hidden information as only the exploring player knows what's under a tile.
The absence of random mechanisms that characterize the other Nova Suecia
games is very prominent in Explorers & Exploiters.
What makes Explorers & Exploiters different from other games?
The shared units of opposing sides (explorers and barbarians) is seldom seen in games.
Add to that the constantly changing game board where tiles are flipped back and forth,
connecting and disconnecting settlements with resources, and you have a game with unique challenges.
About the Rules
How is the game best taught to others?
Clarify that only the settlements are private to players while the units may be used by both.
Proceed to explain the link between a settlement's size and its connected resources before going
through the actions of exploring, exploiting, expanding and expelling, using the examples from
the rules.
